Police Seek Volunteers

 

Hamilton Police Service Advisory Committee

**In Partnership with Strengthening Hamilton ‘s Community Initiative** 

 

 

The Hamilton Police Service values the participation, support, and input of our diverse communities in the prevention of crime and working together to make our communities safe. The Chief’s Advisory Committee seeks resident members reflective of the racial, religious, ethnic and cultural diversity of our community.

 

Applicants may also represent Education; Industry; Labour; Social Service Agencies; Community Organizations; Social and Cultural groups. Applicants should possess strong community service orientation, demonstrated antiracist commitment, superior communication skills as well as strong leadership skills. The ability to honor the requisite time commitment also an asset.

 

The advisory committee meets monthly to provide meaningful advice and review of Police Service programs to the Chief and Board.

 

Application forms are available at our four Police Service locations as well as our Community Policing Centres or email swilson@hamiltonpolice.on.ca and an application will be sent to you.

 

Applications should be mailed to SHCI c/o Hamilton District Health Council: 10 George Street, Ham, Ont. L8P 1C8. Deadline for receipt of applications: Oct 31/2003.
