PRESIDENT OF GREECE PARLIAMENT PRAISES WIPP FOR GLOBAL FORUM

Kaklamanis Credits Women Entrepreneurs for Economic Growth

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.  --  President of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) Terry Neese met today with President of the Hellenic Parliament Apostolos Kaklamanis who commended America’s largest bipartisan women’s business group for presenting the 8th Annual Global Women’s Forum in Athens.

“We welcome WIPP to the cradle of democracy that allows free enterprise to flourish,” said President Kaklamanis at a private meeting held at the Hellenic Parliament.  “Your success in uniting American women entrepreneurs as one voice will help us strengthen the economic and political impact of Greek women business owners, who are already the driving economic force here.”

The Forum brought together hundreds of prominent American and European leaders to explore issues affecting women entrepreneurs worldwide, their collective contributions and positive influence on all aspects of business, cultural and socio-political activities.

“This is a great time to be in Greece on the eve of the Olympics.  WIPP was warmly welcomed as a friend that shows there is no word for stranger in the cradle of democracy,” said Neese about the traditional Greek embrace she received from the Parliament President.

President Kaklamanis added that women entrepreneurs bring vibrancy and new solutions to the world’s political situations.  “They find unique ways to solve problems rather than creating new ones and waging war.”

Neese agreed, “It is women who rock the cradle, and women who rock the world.”

Women Impacting Public Policy is a national bipartisan group comprising over 460,000 diverse businesswomen and women business owners.  WIPP strengthens members’ sphere of influence in the legislative process of our nation, creates economic opportunities for members and builds alliances with other small business organizations.  Visit www.wipp.org.
