SENIOR HELLENIC REPRESENTATIVE TO U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND MAJOR GENERAL CHRISTOS G. MILITSIS HONORED PROFESSOR CHRIS P. TSOKOS

 

 

TAMPA, FLORIDA.  The Senior National Representative from the Hellenic National Defense General Staff to the United States Central Command, Major General Christos G. Militsis, recently honored Professor Chris P. Tsokos, President of the International and American Foundation for Greek Language and Culture (IFGLC/AFGLC), for the outstanding international contributions that the foundations have made for the promotion of Hellenism.  Major General Militsis cited the educational aspects for the spread of democracy and its impact on world peace.

Major General Militsis has an outstanding military career serving the Hellenic Republic. He has served in many unit and staff posts in the Field and Anti-Aircraft Artillery , he has attended  both Army War College and the National Defense College and he was accredited as Defense Attaché to the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Bucharest, Romania

.  General Militsis’ distinguished service includes Director of Defense Planning and Programming Division of the HAGS, developing of NATO and European Union defense capability Programs for the Army, Head of the National Delegation of  NATO Army Armaments Group, Military Principal Expert  of FINABEL and developing the Army international and bilateral relations,

 among others.

 

In his present important position at USCENTCOM, he plays a key role for the operation against international terrorism, “ENDURING FREEDOM.”

 

In honoring Dr. Tsokos with the “Hellenic National Defense General Staff” award, the General also acknowledged his outstanding educational and research accomplishments.  His dedicated service to every agency of the U.S. government as advisor, consultant and assisting in implementing his developed methodologies in the complexity of their strategic networks is of significant importance in enduring freedom.
