Hydro privatization protest

            A great number of citizens in West Toronto are convinced that the present policy of selling-off chunks of Ontario Hydro (including precious hydro-lands, generation transmission and distribution systems) and privatizing the electricity market is fundamentally flawed and absolutely wrong.

            Over 100 citizens joined MPP Tony Ruprecht in a protest demonstration against the government’s flawed privatizing Hydro policy.

            The MPP said “This Conservative Government has no mandate to privatize hydro and throw Ontarians into cost-comparison chaos and utter confusion that California residents have been subjected to.”

            “We are calling on the Ontario Government to use common sense and stop the privatization and deregulation until further notice.”

            Mr. Ruprecht, MPP, plans more demonstrations until the government listens to its citizens.
