Ontario Liberals will deliver real,
positive change in education
Only
Ontario Liberals have a plan to deliver real, positive change. We released
the Ontario Liberal plan well in advance of the election. It is bold, it
is detailed, and it is practical.
Our
education plan, called Excellence for All, will make public
education the best education.
Education
has never been more important for young Ontarians and for our province's
prosperity. Yet our schools have never been more threatened.
We'll do that by setting ambitious achievement targets and support them with smart investments.
We'll
place a real cap of 20 students per class in the all-important early
grades. Kids can't learn in a crowd.
We'll
make learning with become mandatory until age 18. We will require that
young people keep learning, either in the classroom or in a training or
apprenticeship program, until the age of 18.
Our
education plan will mean school choice. You will be able to send your kids
to the public school of your choice.
Our
plan includes character education to teach our kids respect,
self-discipline, and tolerance.
Our
education plan also includes improved help for children with special
needs, turnaround teams that will be sent into failing schools, more
respect and training for teachers, and a funding formula that meets the
needs of diverse communities.
In
addition to education, the Ontario Liberal plan will also mean stronger
communities, a prosperous economy, better health care, and a more
democratic government.
Only
the Ontario Liberals have the vision, the plan, and the new perspective
needed to deliver real, positive change.
