OPP Charge Ottawa Youth with Child Pornography Offences
OTTAWA, June 30 /CNW/ - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Child Pornography Section (Project "P"), and Electronic Crime Section in conjunction with officer's from the Almaguin Highlands and Ottawa OPP Detachments have charged a 16-year-old male following a child pornography investigation.
On Thursday June 29, 2006, OPP investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant on an Ottawa residence. A computer and CD-Roms containing what is believed to be child pornography were seized.
The Ottawa youth was charged with two counts of Utter Threats, two counts of Extortion, Possession of Child Pornography and Making Child Pornography.
The accused is scheduled to appear June 30, 2006 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
