Cyprus, Must have a Functional Reunification within
the UN Resolutions and EU Protocol
Reading
the article in Patrides March edition page 30," Bilions to
pay if Cyprus talks fail, UN special envoy warns" was a
manipulation and Turkey's propaganda by Pro Turkey's so called
envoy Alexander Downer. We would like to remind Mr A. Downer that
Cyprus is an EU member state and Turkey invaded divided and destroyed the
Republic of Cyprus and desecrated more than 550 Christian Churches
and committed war crimes against Humanity in Cyprus . Turkey is the
villain and the victim is the republic of Cyprus which has to pay the
damages and criminal acts of atrocious acts done by invader Turkey. Turkey
must be taken to the international court of Hague to be tried for
the crimes it committed in Cyprus.and if found Guilty to be Judged
accordingly for the crimes during the last thirty seven
years against the Republic of Cyprus . The Greek Cypriots must be
compensated for their loses from the barbarian Turkey's 1974 illegal
invasion of Cyprus which is in violation of UN security council
resolutions, EU Protocol and in complete defiance of International
law and UN Charter of rights. If only the UN was fair,
Just and able to enforce the countless UN resolutions issued for
Cyprus,Cyprus problem would of been solved a long time ago and the
statements and words of bias against Cyprus by Downer special UN envoy are
really a sad reminder and threat and an injustice done by
the western world , against the 82% of Greek Cypriot majority,a never
ending sellout to Turkey by UN and another foreign imposed settlement of
Cyprus worse than Dysfunctional 1959 Zurich and London British imposed
"agreements".. Turkey was always an invader since 1570/1571
with the fall of Famagusta to the menacing Turkey's army when Marc
Antonio Bragadin (Venician Emperor ) was skinned
alive without any mercy. Cyprus was under Ruthless ottoman empire until
the British took over 1878, but life did not change for the Greek
Cypriots but became suppressive and oppressive in order to
assimilate with the British rule and their strategic interests . We
would ask UN Ban ki Moon and Downer as to why the Western
world Bombs Libya's Moammar Ganddafi with a very few UN resolutions
,for Killing its own people,and why in Cyprus case UN and the
Western world doesn't even care to enforce the countless UN ,security
council resolutions for the massacre of the Greek Cypriots
by Turkey's Attila army .Why the UN and the Western world doesn't
want to punish Turkey the villain of Cyprus invasion occupation
and destruction of the cultural religious and ancient Greek heritage
in defiance of International law? Many books are written as to
the real reasons of Cyprus problem ,among them the latest , Execution
of the Republic of Cyprus via the" Bi communal Bi
zonal solution" of two federal states system with
Turkey ,as Guarantor, which was a plan devised by extremist Denktas
and our British friends long time ago. Most political critics
on Cyprus problem and most book writers say that the
strategic position of Cyprus which is located in the crossroads in
Middle East joining Europe,Africa and Asia are the basic a reason
for foreign intervention orchestrating Greek Junta's coup
against Makarios ,the aftermath ,Turkey to invade after the coup to
destroy,and divide Cyprus as the British wanted it . Downer is
giving the Greek Cypriot victims of the atrocious war against them
by Turkey, pressure to accept a so called solution via a similar Kofi
Annan plan, but Downer fails,and avoids to explain why the UN was
never able to enforce its own countless resolutions issued for
Cyprus, but in Libya 's case the" kind" British ,French,Americans
did without any dificaulty.. Cyprus was indeed crucified for its strategic
position which was and still is for the British and US interests . The
present Libya crisis shows that Cyprus can be a great asset for war the
Western world and the ship oil routes in the Mediterranean
which they carry oil for the Western world contrary to the wishes of
Cypriots,who never wanted their island to be used as a foreign military
base for attacking Its neighbouring countries. This is the main
reason for Cyprus's foreign plan and problem and finally was
executed in 1974 till today Empires, and Conquerors came and
gone throughout the ages Assyrians, Babylonians,
Phoenicians Egyptians, Romans, French Louisianans , Ottoman
Turks, British Empire,and many more but Cyprus Island of
Aphrodite remains stationary at the same spot ,strategically
located and crucified.
The
UN and the Western world along with EU have a responsibility and a duty to
free EU Cyprus from Turkey's enslavement.
Turkey has committed many crimes against Humanity in Cyprus . 1) Turkey
invaded illegally Cyprus in 1974 and for thirty seven years occupies
illegally in violation of UN charter ,UN Security council
resolutions 37% of EU Cyprus. 2) Turkey's Attila army raped
thousands of women and committed more than six thousand Murders of
Greek Cypriot women ,Children,and old pensioners. 3) Turkey committed the
ethnic cleansing of 200,000 Greek Cypriots from their ancestral
homes and land where they lived for more than thee thousand
years. 4) Turkey committed the desecration of more than 550 Greek
Christian Churches. 5) Turkey destroyed and looted the Greek
and Ancient Greek Heritage of the Greek Cypriots. 6) Turkey transferred
more than 250,000 Anatolian Turkey's citizens in Cyprus in violation
of the 1949 Geneva convention and complete disregard of the
International law. 7) More than sixteen Hundred Greek Cypriots went
missing and Turkey refuses to acknowledge their fate.These are some
of the crimes that Turkey committed against Greek Cypriots in Cyprus
since 1974 Cyprus . Aren't these Crimes enough for Turkey to
be Punished by UN,EU and the International community? It
seems that Turkey has a licence to commit crimes and has an absolute
immunity for Its crimes.! . President Christofias
failed Cyprus via the so called "peace Talks" and gave
too much to Turkey for not a viable solution but a
settlement tailored to fit Turkey's and British interests. EU Cyprus
can be reunified under the internationally accepted principle ONE MAN
ONE VOTE, within the UN and EU parameters of the EU protocol and the basic
EU rights and Freedoms only then Cyprus will have an honourable Just
,Fair and Functional solution Mr. Downer.,and Ban ki Moon .
